The Trucker’s Network Partners with Petrexx: The Importance of Fuel Additives

The importance of Fuel Additives is often underestimated and overlooked!
But using the right Fuel Additive will make your life easier, plus save you time and money, which can make or break for independent truckers and small Fleet Owners in today’s tight market.

In the U.S. alone there are thousands of different Fuel Additives, all claiming to benefit you in some way or form, such as reducing Fuel Consumption, Increasing Performance, Increasing Combustion, Preventing Gelling, and so the list goes on.

And granted, some of them actually work, but they never really end up working as well as they should, and more than often, you have to end up having to buy 2 or 3 different Fuel Additives to end up giving the combined of benefits you want, and this is unfortunately how Fuel Additive manufacturers make their money! The more products they have, the more money they make!

So, the controversial questions: Which Fuel Additive is best or right for you? And How do you go about choosing the right Fuel Additive?

The answers are easy, but before we get to the answers, you need to know that most Fuel Additives on the market are nothing more than mere “Band-Aids” to the problems they try and solve, and like a “Band-Aid”, they cover up the “sore” or “wound” till it is healed, but a “Band-Aid” does not PREVENT it!

You also need to understand WHY there is a need for Fuel Additives in the first place, and it starts with the Oil Companies who make fuel, and Government dictating what the fuel can or cannot contain!

We all know that for Gasoline or Diesel to do its job, there must be combustion, and in this instance what makes fuel combustible is the Sulphur and Nitrogen in it, just like a match stick head is coated with Sulphur.

The government is forever pushing for lower Sulphur levels in fuels, forcing Oil Companies to increase Ethanol levels in Gasoline, and Biodiesel levels in Diesel, forgetting that in the process, they are making Gasoline more Hygroscopic (Draw water from the air), and Diesel, already Hygroscopic, to lose its Lubricity and becoming more Hygroscopic with the addition of Biodiesel (Biodiesel is more Hygroscopic than Diesel).

What happens in fuel, is that with Diesel being Hygroscopic, it draws the water from the air around it, and the water molecules interact with the Sulphur and Nitrogen molecules in the fuel, forming Sulphuric Acid and Nitric Acid, which is what kills the Ozone Layer in the form of Harmful Emissions.

This interaction between Water with the Sulphur and Nitrogen also causes severe wear on Fuel Systems and Injector Nozzles, causing higher Maintenance Costs such as more frequent Fuel Filter Replacements, Costly Downtime, Reduced Combustion, and the buildup of Soot in your engine, which is why DPF Regeneration is needed, but with high burn-off temperatures of 1,000°F, it reduces DPF Unit life, apart from the aggravation DPF Regens are to Truckers out there.

To make matters worse, you have Sulphur levels in fuel constantly dropping, reducing the Lubricity and Combustion Problems in Fuel, and most Oil Companies and Fuel Additive Manufacturers try and address these issues by using Cetane Boosters and other Compounds to try and increase Lubricity and increase Combustion in Fuels, but in doing so, they go back to the original problems in Fuels, because Cetane is not the fix people think, and not people even really know what Cetane is in the first place.

What is Cetane? Cetane is actually Hexadecane or Isocetane, but the most commonly used Cetane Improver used by almost all Fuel Additive manufacturers is 2-Ethylhexyl nitrate, which is a result of the reaction of 2-ethyl hexanol and Nitric Acid, and both these are already part of the original problem in fuel.

Where Petrexx prevents and solves Fuel Related Problems, is at its core, namely addressing the interaction of Water with the Sulphur and Nitrogen, and more importantly, NOT having to use Cetane Improvers to enhance performance, and also NOT manufacturing our Fuel Additives from Petroleum Products, but instead, producing a formula that is unique and effective in treating most fuel-related issues.

Getting back to the questions and answers. To answer Question one. The right or best Fuel Additives to use is a Fuel Additive that will firstly PREVENT the problem from happening in the first place. Secondly, a Fuel Additive that will effectively TREAT or STOP the problem from re-occurring. And thirdly, a fuel additive that will not only keep the problems IN CHECK ongoing!

To answer Question two, of How to go about choosing the right Fuel Additive? Well, that is simple, and the answer to that is… Choose a Fuel Additive that will give you all the benefits, and solve most of the problems in ONE, and not having you end up buying several Fuel Additives!

But where do you find a Fuel Additive that can solve all the major issues in one, effectively?

Petrexx has such Fuel Additives, and we designed our Fuel Additives as a one-stop-solution for all Fuel Related Problems, therefore we have only got three Fuel Additives in total, namely one for Diesel Engines, one for Gasoline Engines, and one for Marine Diesel Engines, and that is it!

With us operating our Fleet of Road Tankers for the past 15 years, Petrexx and its international Partner Company, Rexxon, know first-hand what is required and needed from Fuel Additives!

Apart from that, our Partner Company Rexxon, know and understand Crude Oil Refining, so we will not let anyone pull the wool over your eyes!

As confirmed by OEM Manufacturers MTU / Detroit Diesel, Rolls Royce Power Systems, and the Ohio State-Owned Laboratory who tested and confirmed our claims concerning the Cloud Point of our Diesel Additive for one of our large Fuel Suppliers to the State of Ohio, our Diesel Additive will do the following:

Benefits of Using Petrexx Fuel Additives

  1. Restore the Lubricity in the fuel.
  2. Remove the water content in the fuel and make it combustible.
  3. Remove and Prevent Microbial infestation in your fuel tank.
  4. Reduce DPF Regeneration by up to 80%.
  5. Increase DPF Unit Life by up to 3 times.
  6. Reduced burn-off temperature and less Diesel used per burn-off.
  7. Reduce DEF usage by up to 70%.
  8. Reduce Idling Time.
  9. Reduce costly Downtime.
